The problem
Nursing students need clinical conversation practice long before they meet real patients — and standardized patient actors are expensive, scarce, and hard to schedule at the scale a cohort needs.
What we built
An AR-based patient avatar for clinical simulation, built for an Australian university. Students interact with an AI patient that speaks, responds, and presents symptoms — powered by NVIDIA ACE for the avatar and conversation stack, running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Outcome
- Clinical conversation practice available on demand, not on an actor's schedule
- Built on NVIDIA ACE and Oracle OCI for a university clinical program
