In January 2025 Nunnari Labs Private Limited received ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System. The certificate was issued by Glocert International Certifications (UK) Limited after an audit of how we design, develop and deploy AI: customised AI development, data science and analytics, AI research and development, AI integration and implementation, and AI training and support.
What the standard covers
ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the first international standard for artificial intelligence management systems. It gives an organisation a framework for managing AI risks and opportunities across the whole lifecycle of a system, from the decision to build it through to how it is monitored and retired. Where ISO 27001 asks how information is protected, 42001 asks how AI is governed: who is accountable, how impact is assessed, how data and models are controlled, and how the organisation keeps improving.
What the audit assessed
The certification process evaluated the management framework we run every engagement inside:

- Risk and opportunity management
- Data governance and privacy
- AI system lifecycle management
- Ethical considerations and fairness
- Security and reliability measures
- Continuous monitoring and improvement processes
Each of these is a documented process with evidence, not a policy statement. The auditor examined how they are applied to live projects, which is why the certificate is scoped to the services above rather than to the company in the abstract.
What it means for the work we ship
The framework also satisfies the additional requirements of the EU AI Act, 2024, which matters for customers who need to show a regulator, a board or a procurement panel that an AI system was built under a governed process.
